Jim Shannon is a veteran of the Bay Area music scene and an in-demand bass player and vocalist. Jim began performing with bands in high school and over the years has performed with The Tom Narducci Band, The Marv Hubbard Band (w/ Oakland Raider Marv Hubbard), Even Steven, Little Daddy, James Clarks' tribute to Elvis, Itchy Brother, and Jukebox Heroes, who he still performs with today.
Over the years Jim has shared the stage with many of his heroes in the music business and has appeared on the tours of such diverse artists as The Beach Boys, Gregg Allman, Michael McDonald, The Tubes, Huey Lewis, Eric Burdon, Eddie Money, America,The Everly Bros., Dave Mason, Night Ranger, The Guess Who, Steppenwolf, Johnny Lang, The Starship and others. Jim tells a story of the night he opened for Eric Burdon, and after the show Eric actually gave Jim the silver lame' shirt he'd worn on stage. Jim still has that shirt today!
Jims' love of music has led him to the Van Burdon Project, whose renditions of these artists songs show the attention to detail resulting in the faithful recreation of the original recordings.
